My Story

Storytelling has been the cornerstone of every passion in my life. From creative writing classes, to constant sketching, and eventually graduating from The College of William & Mary with a BA in Film & Media Studies, specializing in animation, the art of visual storytelling led me to the MA in Children’s Book Illustration from the renowned Cambridge School of Art in Cambridge, England. After graduating in 2026, in addition to creating picture books, I graduated having illustrated chapter books, adapting classic children’s literature, and developed an original graphic novel.

Needless to say, my range of interests is wide and (still) ever growing!

Having grown up in a family so drawn to folklore, mythology, and fantasy, my stories have always been influenced by a mix of the fiction that inspired my love of stories, my own memories from childhood, and the world around me.

My techniques range from traditional black and white with pencil, ink, and copper plate etching, to digital, watercolor, acrylic, and pastel. Whether it’s within chapter books, graphic novels, or picture books, I finds the joy of storytelling in everything from facial expressions to experimental mark-making and atmosphere. And with that, my lifelong passion for world-building — for story development, dialogue, and the joy of watching characters come to life through linework, texture, and color — continues to grow with each new project I work on.
